The aroma of freshly toasted bread is a heartwarming occurrence in my home most mornings. I wish they made a candle that smelled of warm buttered toast and freshly brewed coffee. I could live in that smell every moment of my life and be perfectly content. Is there toast and coffee perfume? Can that please be a thing?
While I clearly enjoy my toast in the morning, sometimes a simple spread of butter doesn’t cut it. Some days I like to take my toast to gourmet status. The gourmet toast varieties are endless. You can get creative in this toast game and I decided to go there with a few of my favorite flavor combinations.
Pepperidge Farm® Harvest Blends bread (Available in the Midwest at your local grocer!) has some new and delicious varieties, all of which are the perfect vessel for my favorite toast toppings. Goat Cheese and Kiwi are a match made in heaven. Add prosciutto to the mix, and it makes for an impressive breakfast or mid-day snack.
I chose to use Pepperidge Farm® Harvest Blends Sprouted Grain bread, the flavorful and rustic loaf really compliments the vibrant flavors. This recipe is simple, elegant, flavorful and easy. Jump on the Gourmet Toast train and start making some serious strides each morning. This recipe surely brightens up my morning and me walking taller and smiling wider. Just don’t forget your favorite cup of coffee because… coffee.

- 4 Pepperidge Farm® Harvest Blends bread, toasted
- 1 kiwi, peeled and thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp of goat cheese
- 4 slices prosciutto
- Fresh Parsley for garnish
- Spread a Tablespoon of Goat Cheese over each piece of toast.
- Top with prosciutto and kiwi slices.
- Garnish with a few sprigs of parsley
- Enjoy with your favorite coffee or tea
